Freestyle Workshops

in Greenville, South Carolina USA

In Mediterra’s freestyle workshops you will experience a sensible way to build (or remodel) your freestyle stroke. You’ll learn how to position your body to cooperate better with water and gravity, how to shape and stabilize your body to more easily slide forward, and how to move in a way that greatly lowers risk of injury and increases your strength and effeciency. You’ll learn what to practice and how to practice. These workshops are suitable for adult swimmers new to freestyle and intermediate level, including older adults and seniors. Our coaching is mature, highly skilled and encouraging, guiding your technical and mental development as a masterful swimmer.

May 14 / SwimMastery Freestyle Fundamentals Part 1

May 15 / Freestyle Injury Prevention

Training Description
Our workshops are intended to provide you with a safe, supportive, and encouraging atmosphere to build (or remodel) your freestyle stroke and your enjoyment of swimming. This is a self-paced, non-competitive, no pressure activity, with just a small group of like-minded swimmers and coaches who love what you love.

SwimMastery Freestyle Fundamentals Part 1

In this part of the workshop we will focus on Buiding the Frame of your body to more easily work with the support of water and gravity, and Forming Streamline Shape to more easily slide forward in the water. We will show you how these skills support easier breathing.

Freestyle Injury Prevention

In this part of the workshop we will focus on building better movement skills for the recovery (overwater) and catch (underwater) phases of the stroke, where the most common freestyle injuries are caused. These are a great compliment to the skills introduced in the Freestyle Fundamentals Part 1 workshop.

Group Size

With our 2 coaches, each workshop is intended to serve up to 10 swimmers total.
